The Shattered Window

There was a time when I was three years old and I was playing on top of a couch in my house in Connecticut. I stood up and lost my balance and fell into a window which was above the couch. My mother came over and got me out of the mess.

I didn’t feel a thing, in fact for some reason I was excited… but do you want to know why I didn’t feel anything? Well, my mother checked my body for blood and she didn’t even find a scratch. Jesus had protected me from the deadly glass, which should have cut my jugular and stabbed me in the heart.

I’m so grateful that He did. As I’m writing this I am thanking Him. The same way He saved me from the shattered window is the same way He will save you from your situations. He protects us because He loves us.

Just like the way you, as a mother or father, would protect your child so the Lord protects us. Nothing gets in the way of God protecting us, not even glass shards.

If I had died I never would have written this book for you to read and you never would have seen God’s grace and love.

Never lose faith in God, he will always rescue you. Never will he leave you in the gutter… ever. He isn’t very mysterious once you get to know Him. In fact, He is a lot like us (the Lord made us in his image and likeness). He loves, he feels grief, he laughs, and He knows the difference between good and evil.

    He loves you very much.

Sincerely,
Olivia Hamel
